Rainy Day Fun!
Rainy days don't stop our fun in Senior Infants. Check out some of our rainy day activities this week!
We will miss Miss Gallagher!
We have been so lucky to have a student teacher with us for the past eight weeks. To celebrate her last days with us, we decorated our classroom with our own paintings, baked cupcakes and had a party on Friday. We were having too much fun along the way to stop and take photos, but here are some photos of our final circle time together.
Lá Glas
We had so much fun celebrating Lá Glas on Friday 13th March and playing Irish games during Seachtain na Gaeilge. A real highlight was sharing the Aistear Room with our 4th Class Friends.
Gardening with Sharon
Sharon was back at the start of spring and we got to spend some time in the school garden. Sharon had us busy digging out weeds from the garden bed. We even found a few worms along the way.

We have been learning so many new games and activities in PE with our student teacher - Miss Gallagher. We are having so much fun.
Popcorn Party
Senior Infants had the best attendance in the school for the month of December and got to celebrate with a popcorn party in school. We had so much fun bringing in our cuddly toys, eating popcorn and watching Paddington in our cozy classroom.
Hurling with Coach Dean
We have had so much fun with Coach Dean from Setanta GAA. We have been busy practising our hurling skills. Coach Dean has invited all the students to join Setanta if you are looking for an activity outside of school.
Christmas Baking

We had the chance to make some vanilla chocolate chip cupcakes for the Christmas Bake Sale. We had so much fun mixing, measuring, counting (and maybe some sneaky tasting along the way).

Shared Reading with 4th class.
We have loved meeting the The 4th class boys in the library for shared reading.
The Post Office.
The Senior Infants have been learning all about their local community. As part of this unit, we have been learning all about the Post Office. We have enjoyed exploring this theme in our Aister room. A highlight of our term was our walk to the local post office to post a letter! As well as having Postman Leigh visit us in our classroom.
