Active Schools Flag
This year, we are working towards getting an Active Schools Flag for our school. The aim of the Active Schools Flag is to encourage schools to be more active, more often. It links in with all of the work we are doing throughout the year on Healthy Living - being active, getting exercise, taking care of our minds and bodies. Meet our Active School Committee
Our Active School Committee
Our ASF committee is made up of both teachers and students. Students were elected from each class from 3rd - 6th. Ridwan, Bobby, Cian, Tom, Allister, Aidan, Jace, Braxton. We meet on monthly to organise initiatives for our school.
What do the Active School Flag Committee do?

What do the Active School Flag Committee do?
- Attend ASF meetings.
- Encourage everyone to become active.
- Set up equipment for whole school activities.
- Take the role of playground leaders.
- Organise competitions like the slogan and poster competitions
- Come up with ideas throughout the year by speaking to their classes and bringing the ideas to ASF committee meetings.
- Lead warm up and initiatives.
- Keeping the P.E. equipment room tidied and organised.
- Inform the whole school of what we will be focusing on in the next month during the monthly school assembly.
- Plan Active Schools Week alongside the ASF co-ordinator.
What Clubs Are You In?
Our Active School Committee did a 'What Clubs Are You In?' survey with every class and we have a variety of different sports pupils are involved in outside of school. 6th class & ASC put together a bar chart to represent the data collected.
Active School Flag Slogan and Poster Competition
The ASF committee organised a slogan and poster competition for the Active School flag. The committee chose one for the school. It was very hard to choose as the competition was very high.
The Winning slogan was
BE WISE AND DO SOME EXERCISE (Aaron in 5th Class)
The Winners for the Poster Competition were Daniel in 5th for his pictures and Antoni in 4th for his script.
