Hi lads,
Hope you’ve enjoyed the weekend. We are now entering what should have been our last fortnight in school, can you believe it?! 😱 So for the remainder of term time, why don’t we try to be as creative & as active as possible. Get your markers & colouring pencils out & get drawing & illustrating! Why not create your own Sports Day & challenge your families?! Try the egg & spoon race, the three-legged or wheelbarrow race. Can you make up your own race?
I’ll be posting some ideas throughout the next fortnight to help. Have fun & don’t forget to take some photos & upload them here, I’d love to see them.
Also, Cruinniú na nÓg started this weekend with a céilí in the kitchen, want to have some fun? Why not teach your families some Irish dancing...check out this website for ideas:

Hi boys,
How are we all? I hope you are busy working away with the work booklets that you got last week. If you have any difficulty, please email & I can help.
Check out the cool link Ms. MacHale has attached above!
As well as you worksheets, keep up your reading. Have a look at those websites below.
How are your multiplication tables going? Did you download those apps I wrote about last week?
Watch the following clip to help with your worksheets on Europe:
https://youtu.be/RNx0akt3_XI
If you want to try out a project, I’ve been in touch with the DSPCA ( what do those letters stand for? Email me your answers!) & they have suggested the following:
- Write an A - Z of animals
- List all the things your pet needs to stay happy and healthy
- Keep a diary of your pet activities - when they eat, when they sleep, etc.
- What is your dream pet? Look up all the things you need to care for it. What are the downsides of owning this kind of pet?
- Maths: How much does it cost to care for your pet or dream pet? Work out the cost of pet food per day, week, month? What other things cost money?
- If you have a garden or balcony, lift a rock, log, pot plant to see what mini-beasts are under it. Carefully record them and put them back without squashing them!
www.biodiversityireland.ie have some great information on recording insects in your garden.
I’ll be in touch during the week boys but feel free to email your answers, photos of your work or how your are doing, I’d love to hear from you all!
