Here in the Virgin Mary Boys NS we had a week full of activity and fun for Active Schools Week 2025 (28th - 2nd May) All classes enjoyed a range of activities which were set up in the yard, playground and PE hall.
Each day we continued our ‘Skip Around Europe Challenge’ along with a fun new activity each day. Some of these included Active Walkway Riddles with Buddies, obstacle courses, table tennis, darts, gymnastics, teachers vs students rounders and more!
A top favourite of the week was our Active Leader playground games that had stations of water races, dodgeball, penalties, What time is it Mr. Wolf, Duck Duck Goose and Hula Hoop fun. Greg ran Badminton sessions for the senior end on Wednesday which the classes thoroughly enjoyed!

On Friday the Active Schools Committee presented a Participation award certificate to the best participants from each class along with a medal and voucher.
Our table tennis and darts tournament Finalists competed the final round on Friday, Well done everyone!
